World Village Festival takes place at Suvilahti. This time the theme is Force for Change!

The lineup includes the superstars of African music: Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 and Toya Delazy. How music can be a force for change is shown by the likes of Israeli-Persian singer Liraz and Ukrainian-Canadian Balaklava Blues. Big Finnish names taking the stage are Von Hertzen Brothers, Jesse Markin, Yeboyah, Ilta and Megasakki.

There will be almost 30 factual programme items featuring changemakers from around the world discussing issues including the relationship between food production and climate change, access of minorities to influence, and the role of policy as a force for change.

In addition to featuring music, talks and discussions, kids’ programme and art, the festival is also a trade fair for civil society organisations (CSOs) and sustainable development where hundreds of organisations showcase their activities for a better world and sell ethically produced goods and food from around the world.

World Village Festival will bring individuals and communities interested in the Earth’s future together for solutions and actions.
