Escarlata Circus: PUGILATUS

The audience has ringside seats as reason and physical force do battle. In the ring, two charming bon viveurs give a lesson in tolerance – in loving madly and coexisting peacefully. Pugilatus is full of emotion and tragic stories – and lifts the lid on how the appeal of this brand of rough and ready Kaurismäki-esque humour extends to southern Europe too.
