Kattilahalli moves to a long-term rent in 2026
A major change is coming to Suvilahti’s Kattilahalli (Voimalaitos, building 1) at the turn of the year. The venue’s current short-term event use will end at the end of 2025, and starting from 1.1.2026, Kattilahalli will move into long-term rent with a new tenant.
Kattilahalli will remain owned by KAAPELI (Kiinteistö Oy Kaapelitalo), but the space will no longer be available for rent through KAAPELI’s sales team.
- The proposal to shift Kattilahalli to a different kind of use came to us from outside, and a lot of long-term preparation has gone into it. It’s great to see new activity coming to Suvilahti and the area continuing to develop, says Jouni Kärki, head of property in Suvilahti.
- With the new tenant, the use of Kattilahalli will expand, bringing more year-round activity and life to Suvilahti – and more visitors as well, he adds.
The new tenant will share more details about their upcoming activities later.
KAAPELI warmly thanks all the event organizers and partners who have brought diverse and memorable events to Kattilahalli over the years.
