Kattilahalli

Kattilahalli

(Voimalaitos, building 1)

The former boiler hall was built in 1909 for the city’s first major power plant in what was one of the biggest construction projects in Helsinki in the early 1900s. The structure and architecture of the building are impressive even on the international scale.

Kattilahalli is the largest indoor space at Suvilahti. The impressive church-like hall is of cultural and historic importance and it is breathtakingly high. It is suitable for a wide range of events, from seminars to concerts.

Kattilahalli has 1650 square metres of floor space in total. The hall section has 1150 square metres of floor space and the lobby 120 square metres. The space comfortably accommodates events for approximately 600-700 people, depending on the event structure.

Please note: Changes to Kattilahalli’s use starting in 2026
Starting January 1, 2026, Kattilahalli will be rented out for long-term use by a single tenant. Because of this, we’re no longer accepting event bookings for 2026 or later. We’ll share more details about the future use of the space later.
