HELSINKI DESIGN WEEK: REDI LIVING LAB - VIEWS TO A BETTER CITY
5.-11.9.2016, Puhdistamo (building 6), Suvilahti

Located on the border between the dense inner city and the sea in Helsinki's Kalasatama (Fish Harbour), REDI creates a new urban lifestyle previously unseen in Finland. At the same time, it elevates the silhouette of the capital with its eight sculptural towers. REDI seamlessly combines the the most fundamental functions of a city: living, trade, services, entertainment, traffic and public space. When completed, REDI will be home to 2000 people and create 2000 new jobs. It is built as a team effort of around 10,000 professionals.

Views to a Better City is an exhibition in which two Aalto University students of photography, Veera Konsti and Aukusti Heinonen, examine how the biggest urban development project in Finnish history realizes the theme of Helsinki Design Week: Better. The exhibition also includes an open photography contest, whose best shots will become a part of the display. One can participate in the contest on Instagram by using hashtag #REDIart by 12 August.

Open:
Mon-Fri at 2pm-7pm
Sat-Sun at 12pm-4pm

Free entrance.
